Stories that combine genre and literary elements with fast-paced, imaginative plots and a strong emotional core, while also offering nuanced perspectives and bending traditional rules.
Much children’s, middle grade, or young adult (unless graphic novel).
Chad Luibl joined Janklow & Nesbit Associates in 2014 after completing an MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was coordinator of the VCU Cabell First Novelist Award. At J&N, he has worked with many commercial and literary authors in both fiction and nonfiction. He is looking for stories that blend genre and literary elements with nuanced perspectives, fast plots, and strong emotional cores. For nonfiction, he is primarily interested in narrative memoir, graphic memoirs, and journalistic works with social justice components.
