Michael Bourret began his career as an intern at Jane Dystel Literary Management while studying film and television production at NYU. He joined full-time in 2000, opened the West Coast office in 2009, and became a partner in 2016. He represents a wide range of genres across children's and adult categories, with a special affinity for offbeat, original voices and particular interest in queer and BIPOC literature.
